Kathleen N. Hayes

Kathleen N. Hayes is a member of the litigation practice.
Ms. Hayes concentrates her practice in employment law, litigation, health
care law, workers’ compensation, insurance defense and creditors’ rights.
She has litigated complex jury and bench trials in state and federal courts,
and routinely litigates workers’ compensation cases in administrative
courts. Ms. Hayes has also successfully argued cases before the appellate
courts in Kansas and Oklahoma and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Hayes uses her courtroom experience widely in advising clients throughout
the litigation process.
In addition to her trial practice, Ms. Hayes counsels employers on personnel
issues and assists them in establishing workplace policies. Ms. Hayes has lectured throughout Kansas on topics related to management of employees,
compliance with state and federal employment laws, workers’ compensation,
and wage withholding requirements.
Ms. Hayes earned her undergraduate degree (B.A. cum laude) from
Bethel College, North Newton, Kansas and her law degree from the University
of Oklahoma. She is a member of the Kansas and Wichita Bar Associations.
