Jeffrey B. Hurt
Shareholder
Jeffrey B. Hurt serves as chairman of the firm’s
labor and employment law practice, is a member of the litigation practice
and also represents healthcare clients.
Mr. Hurt practices the full range of employment law on behalf of management,
providing advice to human resources professionals and other management. He
also represents private and public employers before administrative agencies
and state and federal courts on all labor and employment related matters.
Mr. Hurt earned undergraduate degrees from Wichita State University and the
University of Missouri-Kansas City College of Pharmacy. After practicing
as a pharmacist for several years, including operating his own pharmacy,
he earned a law degree (with honors) from Washburn University of Topeka.
He is admitted to practice before state and federal courts in Kansas.
In addition to providing seminars on employment law to clients, Mr. Hurt
has been a speaker for numerous civic and business groups throughout Kansas,
as well as the Kansas and Wichita Bar Associations, of which he is a member.
He has also co-authored two articles on the impact of the Americans with
Disabilities Act on businesses.
